Dinner Rolls

I really meant to get this post on here before Christmas but I didn't get a chance to until now! well maybe you can try it out for your Sunday supper!

"Nana's" Parker House Rolls
2 cups flour
2 ½ t quick yeast
1/4 cup sugar
Put first 4 ingredients in large bowl.
pour ½ cup milk and ½ cup water in a microwave safe cup, heat in microwave to 130*F about 1minuite 25 seconds. add 1/4 cooking oil,
add 1 egg slightly beaten in the centre of bowl, beat on medium speed, slowly add milk water and oil continue to mix adding 1 ½ cups more flour until dough forms a nice ball.
Place dough in a lightly greased bowl let rise in a warm place 1 hr
divied into 12 pieces loosely cover with plastic let rest 10 min.
using a rolling pin roll just the centre of the edges should be slightly thicker then centre brush the tops with melted butter fold in half almost even but not quite. place rolls 2" apart on baking sheet cover with plastic wrap let rise in a warm place ½ hour brush tops with melted butter bake at 350 F for 12 - 15 min.

Crescent Rolls
using the same roll recipe. Cut dough in half, roll each half into a 12" circle, spread with soften butter cut circle into 12 wedges. Roll up each wedge, beginning at rounded edge. Place rolls with point underneath on cookie sheet and curve slightly. Brush with melted butter, cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. bake at 350 F for 12 - 15 min.

Mmmmmm! One of the nicest memories I have about these rolls is Dad and I eating 2 dozen of them! They were so hot that we had to juggle them from hand to hand so we wouldn't burn our fingers! ha ha
